DEVO

this came out in the same year as Depeche Mode’s “Violator” and Pet Shop Boy’s “Behaviour”, which are actually good albums. I recommend those albums. I don’t recommend Smooth Noodle Maps to anybody.

8-track cassette release of Devo’s “Oh No, It’s Devo” album. Very hard to find. Don’t even try!

As a person who grew up with 96 Rock their whole life, it’s very surprising to see them promoting a Devo concert back in the 80s because as soon as Nevermind came out they pretty much flat out stopped playing anything from before 1991 unless it was Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin. Total buttrock station. Thankfully(?) it doesn’t exist on-air anymore and now they turned it into a top-40s station.
